Miami Beach Pride is happy to announce its legendary Festival and Parade will return on September 10-19, 2021 with the Parade and Festival weekend falling on September 18-19. Angels Program
As part of MB Pride's commitment to furthering education for LGBTQ+ youth, the Angels program awards merit-based scholarships in tandem with the Point Foundation. The organization has recently expanded this scholarship program by adding the Diamond Halo level which allows an individual or business to sponsor a student for an entire year! The five previous scholarship recipients and additional information on the advantages of becoming an Angel Donor can now be found online.
Legacy Couples
Honoring those that have come before us is a critical component of our LGBTQ history. The Legacy Couples programs casts a special light in honoring those in committed relationships that have withstood social injustice, legal discrimination and an intolerant society. By hearing their stories and honoring their love and perseverance through a series of commissioned large-scale portraits, personal memorabilia and video interviews, we can not only reflect on how far we have come but what it takes to forge a lasting relationship. All 88 couples can be found online as well. And stay tuned for a full scale art-exhibition in partnership with HistoryMiami Museum bringing 400+ years of love to life.
Faces of Pride
Following a challenging year of not being able to celebrate with our loved ones and highlight the important work that's happening in the community, the Faces of Pride campaign is an outlet to highlight the beautiful diversity within our community. Putting a spotlight on all walks of life and the bond that is shared in the LGBTQ+ community through storytelling fosters a sense of belonging and the rich fabric of stories that has been woven throughout the Miami community. The Faces of Pride will do a series of collaborations with top brands and serve as ambassadors in the community to promote unity, and diversity.
